Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick | New Shade "Magick" Swatches + Review!

Kat Von D is back with 9 new shades in her studded kiss lipstick range and being a big fan of the shade "Lovecraft," I wanted to try "Magick," which is described on Sephora's website as a "sweet, dusty pink." Magick is definitely less deep than Lovecraft, and has some sparkle to it as well. This is a beautiful, natural looking color that will show up as a mid-tone pink for fair/light skinned people and as a nude for deeper skin tones.

Longevity: 5/5 Kat Von D's line of lip products is best known for its lasting power, and this shade does not disappoint. It's not as budge-proof as the liquid lipsticks of course, but easily lasted 4 hours through light eating and drinking without any touch-ups.There's no smudging or messiness with this lipstick either.

Pigmentation: 3/5 The color deposit is good but I ended up taking a couple points off because I noticed there was some patchiness upon application, but nothing too major. Also, I felt like this color in particular required some more swipes on the lips to achieve a more full coverage look.

Consistency: 2/5 This was where I was disappointed because not only was the formula considerably drier than usual but the glitter in the lipstick made it look chunky on my lips. It definitely emphasized any lines or dry patches on my lips as well, so I recommend exfoliating and applying a lip balm before use. Also, when removing the lipstick, it leaves a trail of glitter behind on your lips. So if you like that extra sparkle and don't mind a drier consistency, then this a good lip option.

Kat Von D's Studded Kiss Lipsticks retail for $21 and can be purchased from Sephora.
